Richland Academy provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop skill in dance technique, performance, self-discipline, confidence, respect and an appreciation for dance as an art form. Our dance program is 32-weeks which culminates in the annual spring dance recital. Classes are divided into graduated levels designed to facilitate learning as well as to protect and nurture the physical, social and mental development of children. Open enrollment is through December 1st, after which time we will accept new students by waiting list.

SPRING DANCE RECITAL 2012 - Title TBA
The annual recital will feature our students ages 4 and up enrolled in our 32-week program. The recital is an exceptional development opportunity for dancers and a joy for family and friends. It also incurs overhead, equipment and personnel costs to Richland Academy. Your recital fee includes one complimentary ticket and the costumes are yours to keep. You will need to purchase under-garments, tights and/or shoes per class dress code specifications.Our youngest students in Creative Dance will not be in the recital, however the fall semester class will perform in the Christmas Show and the spring semester class will perform in the May 6 student recital.

If you plan on dancing in the recital, the following items must be completed no later than November 5th.
1. Indication on the registration form that you will be participating in the recital
2. Recital Fee of $45.00 added to your registration form

3. Costume Fee/s added to your registration form

Costume Information for Recital 2011/2012
If you plan on dancing in the recital, there will also be costume fees that will be due. The costume fees may be broken down into eight payments, which will be due each month along with tuition. The student’s age determines the amount owed per dance. Please refer to the following fee chart for your child:
Ages 4 - 7    $50.00 per dance/class
Ages 8 - 12  $60.00 per dance/class
Ages 13+     $70.00 per dance/class

(Those students who register after Jan.1st and sign up for the recital will be assessed a $10.00 additional fee per costume to cover extra shipping costs)

The payments for costumes will begin with Fall registration 2011 and finish in April 2012

In the event of a very special dance opportunity, Richland Academy reserves the right to offer this experience instead of a regularly scheduled class.

Notification of withdrawal from classes or of a prolonged illness or injury which prevents dancing must be presented to the Registrar (see Policies for Richland Academy on Registration Form).
