What Others Are Saying

Our granddaughter is a preemie baby (2 lbs.), who has endured 3 major hip surgeries. Now that she can walk, RAA and Miss Audrey have been perfect for Serenity’s emotional and physical growth. It was hard and scary for Serenity to go anywhere strange, as it often resulted in doctor's visits, or a hospital stay. Now she sings walking up the stairs ready for her lesson! She asks us all the time, "Can we go see Miss Audrey?" Thank you to the entire staff for making the world a safer and better place for a then 3-yr old, soon to be 5- and singing Sweet Caroline to her grandparents.

Richland Academy of the Arts is an amazing asset for Mansfield and Ohio in general. Everyone who works here is so passionate about the arts, and wants to see their students succeed. The kids are so talented and work so hard, and it shows in every performance we put on. Additionally, our Tuition Assistance program is a fantastic way for those students to get to be a part of what the Academy offers when it may not be otherwise possible. RAA certainly is a place like no other, and I’m so thankful to be a part of the RAA Family.

Audrey Lee-Strohm Music Instructor, Richland Academy of the Arts

I believe the students get one on one attention and I go deeper into the music and arts at Richland Academy. The students in the community that don’t have the resources have the option to receive financial assistance which is good for the community. At Richland Academy I teach piano, guitar, and ukulele. This has impacted me in a way that my teaching style has improved and expanded. Before in Costa Rica I didn’t have the opportunity to teach in English or have such a broad range of ages. For me it is a great opportunity to keep teaching what I had learned in my country and build relationships with family and students in the area. I have gotten to know Latino families in the community that want to learn their instrument in Spanish. I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to impact lives through music and for the beautiful building that we have at Richland Academy. I am excited to see more people coming to our place and see their dreams to learn an instrument come true.

RAA encourages every person, with any age and skill level, to find joy in the journey— whether it be through dance, music, theatre, or other artistic endeavors.
