Our private vocal instructors are committed to providing each and every student with the highest caliber instruction possible. They work with students from beginner to advanced and allow them to progress at their own pace. Our voice teachers are committed to ensure each student receives their undivided attention and the best instruction possible.
Rachel Ballitch (Voice & Piano)
Rachel is a recent graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Piano Performance and Vocal Performance Major with a German Studies Minor . She has studied under the tutelage of Dr. Gulimina Mahamuti for four years. Rachel has performed at various master classes including: the 2013 OhioMTA State Conference Pre-College Piano Master Class, and at the piano master classes at Ohio Wesleyan University given by the Cleveland International Piano Competition winner, Alexander Shimpf, by Oberlin’s Peter Takács, and by the China Conservatory of Music in Beijing piano professor, Guan Changxin. Rachel most recently worked as an intern at Richland Academy of the Arts and is currently teaching Music for Little Mozarts, ages 4-6 and piano.
Erin Wolford (Voice, Musical Theatre, & Dance)
Erin Wolford earned her BFA in Musical Theatre with a Dance Minor from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 2007. After graduation she performed professionally in various regional theaters all over the United States. Favorite roles include "Jellylorum" in Cats, "Gertie" in Oklahoma!, "Fritzie" in Cabaret, and "Schulie" in School House Rock, Live! Erin transitioned into teaching five years ago and has never looked back! She loves the time she gets to spend helping other dancers grow into better performers. She teaches a variety of styles, but considers herself a jazz and musical theatre specialist. She also has her own choreography business where she travels to schools and teaches show choirs and musicals. Erin is thrilled to be joining the Richland Academy staff of teachers!
Voice and Piano
Janet Guetle completed a music career teaching at the Mansfield City School district in Mansfield, Ohio. While in urban education, she embraced diversity through teaching techniques and musical selections relatable to her students.
She found success while teaching elementary and middle school vocal music, co-directed and accompanied the high school choir, and even taught beginning strings for four years. During her career as a public school teacher, she also raised two daughters as a single parent.
Janet holds a sacred music diploma from Moody Bible Institute as a piano major. She obtained a bachelors degree in vocal music education as a piano and voice major. She obtained a masters degree in vocal performance from Northwestern university. During graduate school days, Janet began studying classical organ along with vocal studies. Her professional training in organ began first with Adeline Huss at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Upon receiving a teaching position in Mansfield, she was able to continue professional organ studies with Haskell Thomson and David Boe from Oberlin College.
She is now in graduate study at Cleveland State University, studying organ with Todd Wilson, considered around the world as once of today’s finest concert organists.
Janet has extensive experience as an organist, accompanist, choir director, praise team leader and vocal soloist.
