Storybook Theatre Camp - Ages 8-10

Mon-Fri 12:00-2:00 pm, 6/27-7/15/22, 3 Weeks, $225 in-full or $117.50/mo. (2 mo's)

Instructor: Maria Getz Beery - Characters come alive as students explore the art of storytelling and play production by rehearsing and performing in a popular children’s story or fairy tale! Students will gain confidence and experience through movement, vocal exercises and character work, as well as basic set construction and costuming. Participants will rehearse and perform a short play based on a children’s story or fairytale that will be presented at the end of class.

 

Junior Theatre Camp - Ages 10-13

Mon-Fri 12:00-2:00 pm, 6/27-7/15/22, 3 Weeks, $225 in-full or $117.50/mo. (2 mo's)

Instructor: Maria Getz Beery - Students in this class will explore the basics of performance through movement, vocalization and creative expression. The class will focus on building confidence through activities such as improvisation, storytelling, and pantomime while also learning the ins and outs of play production and the rehearsal process. Through ensemble building work, participants will rehearse and perform a short youth theatre play that will be presented at the end of class.

 

Academy Children's Theatre (ACTS) - Ages 13-18

Mon-Fri 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, 6/27-7/15/22, 3 Weeks, $225 in-full $117.50/mo. (2 mo's)

Instructor: Maria Getz Beery - This audition-only class will focus on the production of a short one-act musical while emphasizing the dynamics of ensemble building along with the rehearsal process. Students will hone their skills in acting, singing, choreography and character development while gaining an appreciation of theatre as a collaborative art form. *Class will be co-taught with a music director/accompanist.

 

Stage Makeup Workshop - Ages 12-15, 16-20

Ages 12-15: Monday 7/18 and Tuesday 7/19, 12:00-1:00 pm, $55 in-full

Ages 16-20: Monday 7/18 and Tuesday 7/19, 1:00-2:00 pm, $55 in-full

Instructor: Audrey Lee-Strohm - Learn the basics of how to apply stage makeup, including identifying different kinds of makeup and learn fun new skills with makeup, such as elderly makeup and bruises.
