Ralph Brown received his Masters of Music Education in 1962 from the Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, IL, after completing his Bachelors of Music Education from Westminster College in New Wilimington, PA, in 1952. Ralph is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served for 4 years. He comes to Richland Academy with over 50 years of teaching experience. Ralph began his music education journey in Avonworth School in PA. After moving to Ohio, he taught locally at Madison High School for 30 years retiring in 1983 and then taught at Clear Fork Schools for 20 years before retiring again in 2015. In addition to many years of teaching in public schools, Ralph has been a private instructor, worked at Bill’s Music Center in Ashland, OH, and Harvey’s House of Music in Mansfield, OH. Ralph performed in the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra for 10 years and has played many bands throughout the Mansfield area including: the Percy Hall Band, the Rib Ticklers, and the Stardust Dance Band.
